Setup:
Classroom or library setting. Kate Duke's favorite arrangement is to remain in one place with groups coming to her. Of course
this isn’t always possible. She is flexible. Children will be able to see best if seated on the floor
in front of the easel. At least one teacher should remain to maintain disclipline if necessary.
Autographing:
Unfortunately, Ms. Duke can’t sign books during each program. She draws a small illustration in each one, and this
would use up most of the allotted time. A better arrangement is for the books to be set aside with
a
post-it or note in each one, giving the child’s name (printed). She will sign them early in the morning if
there
is time, during lunch break, and after the sessions are over. |
